Roshanna knows where it's at - and it's all about that basic maintenance being done on schedule. She's here with her 2008 GMC Acadia to ensure her baby keeps on chugging down the road for another hundred thousand miles by doing an oil change. She knows what's going in the crankcase and she knows it's done right. Bam. π
Alfonso's having some charging system problems with everything pointing to an alternator issue in his Nissan Xterra. He's here to swap that bad boy out and get everything back to working order. A little over three hours later he's out the door with a smile on his face and a working charging system under the hood - having saved himself a good chunk of cash. π
Steven's got his new-to-him Dodge Ram 1500 in today to change out all of the fluids, including the transmission, differentials and transfer case. Not knowing exactly what's been done and when to it, he's starting out fresh and can better keep track of everything moving forward. On top of that, we'll recover all of the fluids and get them recycled - no muss, no fuss for Steven to deal with afterward! π
Edward and his wife are here for a double-whammy; replacing the brakes on the wife's Nissan Versa and then replacing the shocks on all four corners of his Nissan Frontier. All knocked out - and huge money saved versus taking it to a shop - in about four hours. ππ
Abdul popped in to check over his 2013 BMW 535i for a weird vibration and to do an oil change. He found a separated belt in the right rear tire and got his oil changed out properly without anything untoward happening (coughstrippeddrainplugcough) in about an hour. Then he's off to take care of that tire! π
Another day, another oil change! π The best way to keep your engine running well is to keep on top of this maintenance. You can stretch it a bit longer running pure synthetic and a high quality filter but changing out the engine oil on a schedule, especially if you do a lot of driving, is a very good idea. Joseph's here with his Yukon to do just that - he wants to know it was done right and that what's in the crankcase is what he expects to be in there. π
John's '05 GMC Sierra has sprung a leak in the steering rack and pinion - ain't nobody out there happy about their rack springing a leak, lol. He's here to fix that by replacing it with a new one. Less than three hours later he's buttoned up and out the door having saved a buttload of money over taking it to a shop to have done. π¬
Seriously, what's that "wedding guy" thinking?!?! π He'd better rethink his position and the 1999 cinematic masterpiece, The Mummy with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, had better come out on top or there's going to be hell to pay.
With a State Inspection being due, Mario's got his Ford Edge dangling in the breeze to replace his front pads and rotors. Paying a shop to do this is a great way to throw money away - in this economy (hell, ANY economy) that just doesn't make sense, not when it's so easy to DIY it and keep that money in your pocket for a bit longer. π
Jim's been in and out of here for the past few months, doing something new every time to his Ranger pickup truck. He's taking a bunch of auto classes to become a Tech and loves to come in to practice what they're going over in class. He's here today to work those wonderful (π) drum brakes out back. Though they're not typically in newer passenger vehicles over (at least) the last decade they're still to be found in older vehicles and certain commercial type rigs so it's always a good idea to know how they work and what you'll be looking at when you take one apart! π
